International relationship VOL.1

I will talk about international relationship. 

This time, it’s about “ How I and my boyfriend met”. My boyfriend, who has French parents, is French Canadian. He moved to Canada when he was 6 years old. If you ask me, he is quebecois. 

We met at a Meetup in Japan by luck when he was studying abroad. He likes Japan so that's why he came to Japan. I think Meetup is known by many people. It’s like exchange meeting. People who have common hobby make a group like yoga, cooking, sports and so on. And we do activities in the real world, not just on the internet.

I went to the meetup, which was an international party. It’s for talking with foreigners. At the time, I just talked a little with him and gave him my Facebook account. But my English was really bad so I almost couldn’t understand what he was saying lol. I only remembered that he lives in Quebec province, the French part of Canada. 

And then for a long time, we didn’t message or meet again. Many days and months passed. I remembered that I met a Canadian when I was thinking about going to Canada for working holiday lol. From there I asked him about Canada by message because he already went back to Canada and I was still in Japan. We messaged everyday and we talked on the phone to practice my English. We talked a lot and didn't realize that we were talking for 4 hours already during the weekend. Day by day we started to know more about each other and eventually like each other. That’s why I came to Montreal even if here is French. I didn’t think to go to a place where people speak French at all. We never know what happen in our life lol. It’s not a romantic episode but it’s how we met.

Since I arrived in Montreal, we have lived together. I was worried about different language and culture but we are both spending happy life lol. About language, we speak in English 98%, rest 2% is Japanese and French lol. When we get fight, I can’t say my feelings straightly. But thinking positively, I can calm down and organize my thoughts. There is a lot of different cultural things between us so I will talk about it next time!:)
